Community Outreach Ministry
COM's mission is to serve the community in Christ’s name. This means serving the whole person physically and spiritually. Outreach is only a starting point for many people on their path to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
There are several initiatives that are carried out by the Community Outreach Ministry. Those being:
By reaching out to the community in a personal and loving way, the Community Outreach Ministry brings Jesus to each individual and family that benefits from an attitude of service.
Health Ministry
The Health Ministry’s mission is to focus not only on our physical, but also on our spiritual health. We incorporate the NEW START program in our daily living. NEW START is an acronym that helps us focus on Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, and last but not least, Trust in God. With all of these combined we can achieve the balance needed to live a healthy, happy, and prosperous life as our Lord intended for all of his children.
Men’s Ministry
The Men’s ministry’s mission is to spread God’s word in every possible situation. The Lord will soon return and we are working by giving Bible studies and ministering to those who are seeking Him. Our new church building will be an extension of this work. God has and continues to bless us at every turn; raising funds, finishing the new building, and tearing down the old. This has been a long journey but one that we are pleased to say has been without any debt. God is not finished with us or with our new church yet. Praise Him for His loving kindness and imparting patience as we march towards the end of a new beginning.
Nursing Home Ministry
The Nursing Home Ministry’s mission is to be a blessing to the residents of Antlers Nursing Home in as many ways as are possible. Currently we visit the nursing home on the third Sabbath of every month and bring the residents a praise and worship service by singing hymns of praise and sharing the Word of God. We praise God for using us as an instrument to share His love to the residents by reassuring them that God is faithful to His Word that He won’t forget them as He promised in Isaiah 46:4. “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Prison Ministry
The Prison’s Ministry’s mission is to help those who have ended up imprisoned due to the belief that there is no other alternative to life than a life of drugs, immorality or any other sin that exist in this world. Many of these precious souls which attend the classes offered at the prisons within the Atoka County, come to the true realization that it is actually possible to be able to achieve the Biblical standard and better way of life through Christ Jesus and His saving power. It is always rewarding to witness how a prodigal child, lost in deep darkness, can be miraculously changed by the unction of the Holy Spirit into a new creature. The words: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”, is our phrase of motivation to help those see and feel that the Love of God is not only strong, but actually exist til this day!
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry’s mission is to help other women come to Christ and develop a strong and loving relationship with Him. This objective is achieved by Sister’s from Antler’s SDA Church coming together and leading out Bible studies, taking time to sit down one on one and read from the Word of God when a particular situation calls for it, and offering personal prayer to any woman in need at any time. The key to the Women’s Ministry is searching for the needs of the women in the local church and community and strategically working towards providing the best solution possible that will Praise and Honor God.
Youth Ministry
The Youth ministry’s mission is to show youth the love of God and foster a love for Him in them. There are so many distractions in this world that do not lead to Christ. We plan activities that promote the growth of our youth’s spiritual, mental, and physical well-being during their walk with Christ. We seek to teach our youth to find God in all of life’s situations so that the light of God can shine through them and bless their communities.
